Mercedes Kavanagh - Technical Director Environment and Waste
Mercedes holds a BSc. (Hons) Environmental Science, MSc Environmental Engineering and a NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety. She is a trained Lead Auditor for Quality, Health and Safety and Environmental Management Systems. Mercedes is a chartered member of the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management (CIWM).
Mercedes has extensive experience in environmental compliance having worked for over 16 years across the waste and pharmaceutical private industries in Ireland. She has senior management experience of waste licences, waste permits, greenhouse gas permits and industrial emission licences. Mercedes has a proven track record of advising in the area of regulatory compliance in all aspects of environmental management, including legislative changes and project management. She has experience in the design and implementation of management systems to Environmental (ISO 14001) and Quality (ISO 9001) standards.
In her capacity as Technical Director at Enviroguide Consulting, Mercedes offers expert environmental compliance and legislative advice to clients in both the public and private sectors.
