Our privacy policy is very simple. If you share personal with us (Enviroguide Consulting, a Data Controller), we will
meet our obligations and uphold your rights under the General Data Protection Regulations.

Data we collect

Personal data means any information about an individual from which that person can be identified. It does not include anonymised data from which an individual cannot be identified. We collect personal data from you when you become our client or when we engage you as a supplier.
The type of information we collect and process for these purposes is contact and identity data such as:

  • Name.
  • Job title/position.
  • Contact details including address, phone number and email address.
  • Directors’ details.
  • Financial information, e.g. bank details, billing details, tax number.
  • Any information provided to enable us to deliver our services.
  • Photographs (for promotional purposes).

We ask you to disclose only as much information as is necessary to provide you with our services or to submit a question/suggestion/comment in relation to our website or our services.

Special categories of personal data are data relating to your racial origins, ethnicity, religious or philosophical beliefs, sex life, sexual orientation, political opinions, trade union membership, information about your health and genetic or biometric data. We do not collect data relating to criminal convictions or offences. We do not collect special categories of personal data about you unless you have asked us to in the context of the service we provide to you. We collect personal data from you when you apply to work for Enviroguide Consulting. The type of personal data we
collect and process for this purpose includes:

  • Name.
  • Contact details.
  • CVs education and employment history.

We ask that you do not disclose sensitive personal data (e.g. gender, height, weight, medical information, religion, philosophical or political beliefs, financial data) in job applications.

You may give us your personal data when you:

  •  Correspond with us by phone, email or otherwise.  
  • Fill in forms on our website, such as via a “contact us” form.
  • Apply to work with us by sending us your CV or by completing an application form.

We may also collect the following personal data automatically when you use our website:

  • Technical information, including the Internet Protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the
  • Internet, your login information, browser type and version, time zone setting, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform. and
  • Information about your visit, including the full Uniform Resource Locators (URL) clickstream to, through and from our website (including date and time), products you viewed or searched for, including page response times, download errors, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information (such as scrolling clicks, and mouse-overs), and methods used to browse away from the page.

Drone footage we collect


Drones may be used by our consultants in the provision of drone surveys covering a wide variety of disciplines such
as:

  • Land Surveying.
  • Mapping.
  • Building Inspections.
  • Roof Surveys.
  • Bridge Inspections.
  • Condition / Dilapidation Surveys.

The Drone Operator will collect and use the personal data only insofar as it is strictly necessary in accordance with
our intended purposes, i.e. fulfilment of a contract.

In addition:

  • We adopt appropriate technical and organisational measures when operating drones.
  • Drone operators will display temporary signage around their location or at certain perimeter points when drone activity is being carried out to advise the public.
  • Every reasonable effort shall be made to ensure that drone recordings are limited to the target area and the purpose for which the drone has been deployed.
  • Enviroguide employees and contractors will at all times ensure that this technology does not have a disproportionate impact on the individuals whose personal data will be processed inadvertently or otherwise.
  • Each drone's functionality shall be appropriate for the intended purpose.
  • Drone operators shall consider measures to limit the unnecessary recording of personal data that is not required, e.g. using a live stream rather than recording.
  • Data Subject Access requests should be submitted in writing in physical or electronic format and will be processed in accordance Data Subject Rights Policy.

How we use your personal data 


We collect personal data set out above in order to provide you with our services, to market our services, to improve our website and recruit staff. We only use your personal data when we have a legal basis for doing so.  The legal bases for the processing of your personal data are:

  • Processing necessary for the performance of a contract which we have entered into with a client or to take steps at your request prior to entering into a contract;
  • Processing necessary for compliance with a legal obligation to which we are subject;
  • Processing necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests which we pursue where such interests are not overridden by your interests or fundamental rights or freedoms;
  • That you have provided consent for the processing for one or more specified purposes.

Who do we share this information with?

 We may share your personal data with our team, including consultants who work on your account, selected business associates, suppliers and contractors to provide you with our services. For example, these business partner  may include:

  • Email & cloud services providers (Microsoft 365, Wrike, Xero etc.).
  • IT services providers.
  • Accounting service providers.
  • Telephone answering service.
  • Office management company (when you meet with us in our offices).
  • Bank.
  • Recruiters.
  • Revenue Commissioners and other Regulatory Bodies where required to do so.
  • Insurance services (our Broker and Insurance Company).
  • Law Firms (where appropriate).
  • Clients (where appropriate).

  • In the event that we sell or buy any business or assets, in which case we may disclose your personal data to the prospective seller or buyer of such business or assets;
  • If all of our assets are acquired by a third party, in which case information held by us about our Clients will be one of the transferred assets;
  • If we are under a duty to disclose or share your information in order to comply with any legal obligation, in order to enforce or apply our terms of use and other agreements, or to protect our rights, property, or safety, our Clients, or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organisations for the purposes of fraud protection and credit risk reduction.

How long do we keep your personal data?


We keep your personal data for a length of time appropriate to our business needs in accordance with the
Enviroguide Consulting company policies. Your information will be securely disposed of at that point from our
systems. 


Transferring your personal data outside the European Union or European Economic area?

We adopt appropriate data collection, storage and processing practices and security measures to protect agains 
unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction of your personal data.

Our website includes social media features and widgets, such as the “Share This” button or interactive mini-
programs. These features may collect your Internet Protocol (IP) address, which page you are visiting on the website
and may set a cookie to enable the feature to function correctly. Social media features and widgets are either
hosted by a third party or hosted directly on the website. Your interactions with these features are governed by the
